FE, FS Transition to CBT
Effective January 2014, the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) examinations will be offered exclusively through computer-based testing at Pearson Vue Select testing centers located throughout Ohio. The NCEES fundamentals exams will no longer be offered in the paper and pencil exam format. Following are links for applying for the FE and FS exams in Ohio.
2014-2015 P.E., P.S. Renewal Deadline Is December 31, 2013
The Board has mailed a renewal notice to each active P.E. and P.S. The renewal notice contains a unique user ID and password which will serve as your electronic signature and will enable you to renew your license online by credit card. For those who have previously renewed online, your user ID and password will remain the same.

Oil and Gas Extraction Requirements and Responsibilities for Professional Engineers and Surveyors
With the increased engineering and surveying activity in Ohio related to oil and gas extraction the Board has received several questions concerning the registration process and the requirements for individuals and firms that want to come into Ohio and provide engineering and surveying services to the oil and gas companies. Ohio law requires individuals offering and providing engineering and surveying to be registered in Ohio. Likewise, firms offering and providing engineering and surveying services in Ohio must be registered and obtain a Certificate of Authorization BEFORE offering, contracting or performing engineering or surveying services.
