October 2020 NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination Update
The NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination [PE] is scheduled for October 22-23, 2020. Examinees must first apply to the Ohio Board for approval. The deadline for submitting a PE exam application in Ohio is Friday June 26, 2020. Once approved by the Ohio Board examinees must register with NCEES before August 20, 2020 to reserve your seat at the exam. You can contact NCEES at ncees.org.
All Ohio PE exam applicants that were approved by the Board for the April 2020 NCEES PE exams do not have to reapply to Ohio. Examinees previously approved by Ohio for the April 2020 PE exams may register directly with NCEES to reserve a seat for the October 2020 NCEES PE exams.

From the NCEES calculator policy page: “To protect the integrity of its exams, NCEES limits the types of calculators you may bring to the exam room.” The Board’s calculator policy is the same as the NCEES calculator policy. There are no exceptions.
The Board cannot suggest and does not supply study materials for NCEES exams.
The NCEES PE is open-book exams. The NCEES PS exam is closed book however a reference book will be provided at the exam site. Information about allowed and disallowed reference materials can be found on the NCEES Exam-day policies web page. Board policy is the same as NCEES policy; there are no exceptions.
