At its meeting on August 13, 2013 the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors accepted settlement agreements from CHR Solutions, Inc., Peters Engineering, Derek Engineering of Ohio, Inc., and Richard Pohana, P.E.
CHR Solutions, Inc., located in Mitchell, South Dakota, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm did not possess a Certificate of Authorization from the Board to provide engineering services in Ohio.
Peters Engineering, located in Sacramento, California, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm did not possess a Certificate of Authorization from the Board to provide engineering services in Ohio.
Derek Engineering of Ohio, Inc., located in Cincinnati, Ohio, entered into a settlement agreement wherein the firm agreed to permanently remove the term Engineering from its name and will not offer or provide engineering services until the firm has been granted a Certificate of Authorization from the Board.
Richard Pohana, P.E., a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, engaged in the unlicensed practice of engineering by performing engineering work and affixing his engineering seal to five engineering documents for projects located in Ohio at a time when his professional engineer registration was expired.
