This document includes the requirements for applying to Ohio for a PE or PS license by reciprocity. Applications that do not meet the requirements in the document will be deemed incomplete or denied.   The Ohio Board strongly suggests all applicants read through the guidelines carefully before applying for a reciprocity license in Ohio. The Board does not refund applications fees for those that submit applications without meeting the requirements for licensure in Ohio.

Notice of Public Hearing | June 23, 2010

The State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors announces its intent to file five proposed rules pursuant to Section 119.03 of the Ohio Revised Code. The Board hereby gives notice that it will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of considering the adoption of these rules on:

The reason for the proposed rules is to comply with Substitute House Bill 648, which amended Ohio Revised Code 1347.15, 1347.99, and 5703.211 to require state agencies to develop rules related to accessing confidential personal information.

All interested persons will be given the opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Oral or written testimony may be presented by any person affected by the proposed action, his/her attorney, or both. Those persons who wish to provide oral testimony at the hearing are encouraged to contact John Greenhalge, at (614) 466-3651 or email john.greenhalge@pes.ohio.gov, prior to the hearing date.
 
Persons interested in providing written comments in lieu of oral testimony may bring written comments to the public hearing or send written comments to the attention of John Greenhalge, Executive Director, State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors, 50 West Broad Street, Suite 1820, Columbus, Ohio 43215-5095. All written comments received by the Board before the close of the hearing record will be considered.
